What do you think about the latest Clinker magazine? We are pleased to be able to print all 36 pages in full color for the first time. We still have plenty of room for improvement, but we hope you feel that this is a nice enhancement to your membership. Let us know what you think! Also, remember that we are always looking for photos, archives, old ads, restoration info, and any other items that will interest Lyman enthusiasts to include in the magazine. If you have anything please let us know. Thanks!

Michael

There is only one way to make it any better. Have more pictures of my 30 express in there.

I miss those little grainy B&W photographs.

No comparison to the old Clinker. Excellent.

The Clinker was awesome. Loved the mix of stories and how to articles. Might even try a transom replacement on my own now!

To the Clinker Editor

I am writing on behalf of the New England Lyman Group to publicly thank Michael Lloyd

for all that he has done for the greater Lyman community during his many years as an LBOA officer.

Mike’s efforts have directly enhanced the reputation of the Lyman “brand” within the antique and classic boating community. The Clinker, now in living color,  has become a superb publication that celebrates Lymania with enthusiasm and humor while offering members real benefits in the form of “how to” articles, history, and destination planning.  LBOA is now one of the largest and most active Marque Clubs that has partnered with ACBS to help extend the mandate for preservation of our recreational boating heritage.

Mike’s reign crested  on a suitably high note with the mass migration of Lake Erie Lymans to the ACBS show at Buffalo last Fall, many by water. Once again Lyman has proved its leading place in the legends of the Lakes, and Mike’s leadership has been a big part of that.

Thanks Mike, for all that you have done for our collective affliction. You will always be welcome at the events of the New England Lyman Group. But then again, so will all LBOA members and wanabes. Our annual show is at the Wolfeboro docks on Lake Winnipesaukee on June 5th, with cruises on other nearby lakes on June 3 and 4.

See you on the water

Gene Porter

Vice President

New England Lyman Group

Thanks for the kind words Gene. My association with Lyman enthusiasts all over the country has been a real joy. I plan on staying involved with the membership, calendar, ACBS, etc. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event.

Best regards,

Michael

Some good stories about the Buffalo trip last year! I'm rebuilding my 1966 Gray right now and look forward to joining up with some fellow LBOA members this coming Summer on some of the events.
